StellarNet also has extended range
spectroradiometers for laser measurement
available to measure spectral irradiance over a wide range of
wavelengths. The EPP2000UVN-SR spectroradiometer with CCD detector array covers a range of 200-1100nm.
The
BLACK-Comet-SR super range, dual blazed, concave grating spectroradiometer
offers a range of 230-1100nm while retaining
all of the characteristics of a concave grating spectrometer!!! In
addition, StellarNet offers a Dual Channel Spectrometer system for
spectroradiometry, the Dual DSR (Detector Super Range) combines a CCD
and InGaAs detector to cover a wavelength range of 200-2300nm for
selected models.

TTL Trigger Options
Some StellarNet spectrometers can be configured with a TLL input (StellarNet
Part # JACK-IN; $100) or output (StellarNet Part # JACK-OUT; $100)
to enable the spectrometer to scan when triggered by an external
light source (i.e. laser, flash lamp, etc.).
The electronic triggering option was first
developed for the StellarNet
PORTA-LIBS systems for elemental analysis,
but now is available in all spectrometers using StellarNet standard
16-bit electronics.

High Resolution Spectrometers
The
EPP2000-HR High Resolution fiber optic spectrometers are available
in several low cost models for UV, VIS, and NIR applications.
The HR
spectrometers have double the resolution over standard models with
the same grating. The wavelength range is reduced by the same
factor. Resolutions better than 0.1nm can be achieved depending on
selected model range, detector, and slit size.
Applications include wavelength monitoring and characterization for
tunable lasers/LEDs and other sources such as elemental emissions
from plasma & Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy. Also, optical
sensing of temperature, pressure, & position are enabled via Bragg
grating technology.

can be built to customer specification in most cases. There is no
extra charge for a 'custom' range spectrometer; however, it does
becomes a non-returnable item.

StellarNet Cosine Receptors allow collection of
light with an 180 field of view using demountable diffusers
with ~10% loss. The
CR1-UVN
is a ½” diameter
near
cosine receptor using a
sanded fused silica diffuser for 200-1700nm
and has reduced 90° FOV and low 7% loss.

StellarNet Calibration
The factory performs several
x-axis calibrations on all spectrometers and depending on customer
application a StellarNet spectrometer may be calibrated also in the
y-axis for absolute intensity measurements. A y-axis
Irradiance calibration is performed using NIST traceable lamps.
There are several available calibrations
depending on your spectrometer wavelength range and slit size.
This irradiance calibration service
(IRRAD-CAL) is optional. If the user has an appropriate irradiance
calibration source lamp, a field re-calibration can be easily performed
using the included SpectraWiz software.
IRRAD-CAL........................................300-1100nm
IRRAD-CAL (NIR)..............................900-1700nm
IRRADUV-CAL...................................200-600nm
IRRADCAL-UVN................................200-850nm
*Note- Spectrometer range can be smaller than
calibration range. Also, IRRAD-CAL and IRRADUV-CAL calibrations can
only be
preformed simultaneously on BLACK-Comet concave grating model
spectrometers.

Power and
InterFace
Portable spectrometers include
a high speed USB-2 interface cable.
All miniature spectrometers with a CCD detector (GREEN-Wave, BLUE-Wave,
BLACK-Comet, and new EPP2000 models) are powered by your computer's USB port while
spectrometers with InGaAs detectors (RED-Wave) require an external 5V
supply. New Big Wave electronics allow plug in play operation
through on board memory where all coefficients are automatically loaded
into your software.
