These instruments are used to measure wavelength emissions from Lasers, Laser Diodes and LED's into the near infrared.  A fiber optic cable is used to couple the output from the test device into the spectrometer.  The instrument allows characterization of the wavelength stability with time, temperature, and device drive current.  Depending on your application and wavelength requirements, StellarNet can offer high resolution spectrometers up to 0.1nm resolution.  Contact StellarNet for availability of other wavelength range and resolutions.

 
Optional Configurations
Multi-channel systems for continuous monitoring of several devices are easily configured by daisy chaining additional units.


Optical Fibers 
For 1310 and 1550nm laser diodes, a fiber is used to couple the ST device connector with an XNIR2 spectrometer input connector (SMA). Other couplings use a 400um fiber with a lens attached to a SMA bulkhead fitting that can be easily mounted in the device emission path.

 
FreeSpectraWizSoftware
The powerful SpectraWiz® 32 bit spectrometer software is provided free of charge with every spectrometer instrument.  This includes drivers and customizable software for operation on Win95 / Win98 / WinNT / WinME / Win2000 /WinXP.    The SpectraWiz software is considered the "Swiss Army Knife of Spectroscopy and may be used to accurately measure wavelength emissions, reflectance, transmission, absorption, concentrations, and absolute intensities.  In addition to real-time spectroscopy,  SpectraWiz® has built-in applications for SpectroRadiometry, SpectroColorimetry, ChemWiz chemistry lab concentration analyzer, and UV level monitors.
 











EPP2000-NIR InGaAs  Spectrometers

- StellarNet's high performance InGaAs spectrometers cover the NIR wavelength range from 0.9-2.3μm

- The units are exceptionally robust with no moving parts and are packaged in small rugged metal enclosures (2.75”x4”x6”)

- The InGaAs detector is a Sensors Unlimited linear   photo diode array with 512 pixels
(1024 optional) 25μm by 500μm tall to provide maximum sensitivity

- Integrated thermo electric cooler (TEC) maintained at –10 °C, stabilized within
+/-0.1
°C

- The system includes high speed plug & play interfaces for notebook and desktop computers

Allow collection of collect light with an 180° field of view using demountable diffusers with ~10% loss. 

The CR1-UVN is a ˝” diameter near cosine receptor using sanded fused silica diffuser for 200-1700nm.  Has reduced 90° FOV and low 7% loss

SpectraWiz software
 
enables wavelength measurements of emission peaks, peak area centroid, FWHM (Full Width Half Max), and dBm.

 

Power and InterFace
The instruments are constructed in a small metal enclosure of 6x3.5x1.5 inches, with a fiber optic SMA connection on the front panel. Portable spectrometers have an easy to use plug and play interface with USB-2 connection and +5VDC power adapter for 120VAC-60HZ. These power adapters are small wall mount transformers with U.S. style 2 prong plugs. For usage outside the U.S.A., we offer an upgrade to universal power adapters. If you don't have a USB-2 port, connecting the spectrometer to a second EPP printer port on your computer is most convenient and recommended. For portable notebook computers that don't have a USB-2 port or an EPP capable printer port, we offer the PCMCIA card style EPP interface.
