512 Spectrometers
StellarNet has announced high performance InGaAs detector
based spectrometers for the NIR wavelength range from 0.9-1.7um, and extended range models
to 2.2um, that can be used for lab or portable applications. The EPP2000-NIR-InGaAs
spectrometers use standard SMA 905 fiber optic input in a rugged miniature (2.75 x4 x6
inch) enclosure. Several models provide various operational ranges and optical resolutions
(from 4nm down to 0.2nm) suitable for both spectroscopy and optical spectrum analysis.
Applications include transmission, reflectance, and thicker thin-film measurements,
absorbtion and moisture analysis, tunable laser characterization, and optical power
monitoring.
The InGaAs detector is a linear photo diode array with 512 pixels each 25um
wide at a 25um pitch, with an integrated thermo electric cooler (TEC). The system includes
a plug & play digital interface for notebook or desktop computers. and includes
SpectraWiz software and LabVIEW drivers for Win9x/Me/NT/2000/XP. Surf

Deuterium
Halogen Lamp

StellarNet has announced a miniature deuterium+halogen light source with a
190-850nm range for its UV-VIS spectrophotometers. Its a perfect match for the
EPP2000C concave grating spectro used for portable and lab applications. The new SL5-DH
lamp connects via fiber optic cable to cuvette holders, dip probes, and flow cells, with
the return signal routed to the spectrometer SMA 905 input connector. The deuterium and
halogen lamps can be individually turned on/off and have a front and rear panel shutter
control.
The SpectraWiz software is included to measure real-time absorbance and
transmission spectra produced by liquid or gas samples. A ChemWiz application provides
concentration displays via configurable methods. Additional spectroscopy applications are
included for UV analysis, spectrocolorimetery, and spectroradiometery.

interface for PCI desktops or portable PCMCIA notebooks, and includes SpectraWiz software

High Resolution Spectrometers

StellarNet has announced several new, low cost, high resolution near infrared
spectrometers that can be used for lab or portable applications. The new EPP2000-NIR-HR
spectrometers more than double the optical resolution of their respective standard models.
Resolutions down to 0.05nm can be achieved depending on model range, detector, and slit
size. The NIR, NIR2, NIR3, and NIR4 models each have unique gratings to provide a
selection of operational ranges at various resolutions.
The SpectraWiz software is included to accurately measure wavelength &
absolute power from emission spectra produced by lasers, plasma, or optical microsensor
applications. An optical microsensor is a type of transducer that converts one physical
quantity to optically measurable quantity, as used in MEMS technology (Micro
Electro-Mechanical Systems).
The EPP2000-NIR-HR spectrometers attach to a high speed parallel interface (PCI
