StellarNet, Inc. has announced new spectroscopy software for Visual Basic Automation that integrates directly with MS-Excel spreadsheets. SpectraWiz-VBA acquires spectral data directly from the companies miniature UV-VIS-NIR fiber optic spectrometers. VBA source code is included to allow creation of custom applications within Excel to perform spectral analysis in real-time.   Download details now !

Basic features allow a user to acquire a dark, reference, and sample spectrum independently at the push of a button. Once acquired, the software calculates and plots absorbance continuously. Detector integration time, scans to average, spectral smoothing, and temperature compensation can all be controlled from within Excel. SpectraWiz-VBA is free-of-charge to StellarNets’ customers and can be downloaded from the website at www.StellarNet-Inc.com.

The portable spectrometers are packaged in small rugged enclosures with SMA905 fiber optic input, and attach directly to high speed IEEE1284 parallel or USB-2 ports. Numerous models provide variety of operational ranges for UV-VIS-NIR (up to 2200nm) with optical resolutions (down to 0.1nm) suitable for spectroscopy (chemical and optical analysis, radiometry, colorimetry), optical spectrum analysis, process control & monitoring, and remote sensing.

The spectrometers include the multi-application SpectraWiz software with drivers and sample code for LabVIEW, VC, VBA and Delphi under Win9x/Me /NT /2000 /XP. Surf www.StellarNet-Inc.com or phone +1-813-855-8687.

Little Turbo Spectrometers

StellarNet has announced a high performance digitizer option for its line of EPP2000 miniature fiber optic spectrometers. The Little Turbo digitizer improves spectral digitization speeds and dynamic range by 4 times. The LT14 is a 14 bit, 2.5 Msps (Mega samples per second) ADC, controlling the optical detector integration frame from <1ms to 65 seconds for 2048 pixels.

LT14 includes a 4K word spectral memory for large CCD/PDA linear detector arrays, 15ppm/deg C temperature stability, and maximum +/-2LSB DC out of 16384 data counts. When the EPP2000-LT14 is attached to a computer using the StellarNet USB2EPP cable, the spectrometer is transformed into a spectral highway, moving data 40 times faster than older USB-1.1 instruments.

The portable EPP2000 spectrometers are small, light weight, and extremely rugged with SMA905 fiber optic input. Numerous models provide various operational ranges for UV-VIS-NIR (up to 1700nm) with optical resolutions (down to 0.1nm) suitable for spectroscopy (chemical absorption, transmission, fluorescence, radiometry, colorimetry), laser & LED optical spectrum analysis, process control & monitoring, and remote sensing.

The spectrometers include the multi-application SpectraWiz software with drivers and sample code for LabVIEW, VC, VB, VBA and Delphi under Win9x/Me /NT /2000 /XP. Surf www.StellarNet-Inc.com or phone +1-813-855-8687.

USB-2.0 Interface Cable

StellarNet has announced a new low cost, high performance, interface option for its miniature fiber optic spectrometers. The USB2EPP cable attaches to the DB25 connector on any EPP2000 spectrometer providing spectral data transfers at blazing USB2 speeds. USB2 transports spectral data 40 times faster than USB1 peripherials. The EPP2000 spectrometers also attach directly to high speed IEEE1284 parallel printer ports. An EPP mode spectral transfer is 4 times faster than USB1 when using PCI or PCMCIA interface adapters from StellarNet. This enables high speed operation on systems not capable of USB.

The portable EPP2000 spectrometers have rugged miniature enclosures (1.5 x3.7 x6 inch) with SMA905 fiber optic input. Numerous models provide various operational ranges for UV-VIS-NIR (up to 1700nm) with optical resolutions (down to 0.1nm) suitable for spectroscopy (chemical and optical analysis, radiometry, colorimetry), optical spectrum analysis, process control & monitoring, and remote sensing.
